BERCHTOLD Corporation provides the finest in innovative surgical lighting, power boom management systems, and related equipment for hospital operating rooms. We are presently accepting applicants for the following positions:

Field Service Technician
-Atlanta, GA
-New Haven, CT

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Position Summary:

The person in this position will have a defined territory with a specific region. In this role, you will provide onsite installation, repair, warranty and preventative maintenance work of BERCHTOLD products within the established timeframe. In addition you will be required to excellent customer service and exhibit administrative paperwork proficiency which includes accuracy and timely submittal of service data on a daily basis.

Your goals and objectives will be designed to drive business and personal growth. As such, you will be expected to perform all aspects of a Field Service Technician as well as Project Manager, when necessary. You will be expected to provide field training on new and existing products. Consistently generate revenue through the sale of preventative maintenance service contracts on applicable products and control your expenses.

It is recommended that the interested candidates possess the following qualifications:

  • Technical training or a technical degree from the military, trade school, college or university or be able to demonstrate technical aptitude through a minimum of 2 to 5 years previous experience in a technical or similar capacity.
  • Experience in project management is preferred.
  • Financial Management experience is a plus.

Position Requirements:

In addition to the above recommendations candidates interested in applying for this position are required to possess:

  • The ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) relevant project information to clients, superiors and internal customers. A thorough understanding of how to use Internet, Intranet, MS Office products to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must be willing and able to travel with overnights required; possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence and be able to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods of time; be able to provide suitable transportation for carrying the tools and parts required to perform the specific duties and be available to work extended hours to meet time availability demands of hospital clients including 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
  • Financial Management experience is a plus.
