Q:
The part of my 200 or 300 series equipment management system with all
the equipment on it is slowly turning by itself. Can I do anything to
prevent this from happening?
A: The service module is equipped
with a friction brake that can be tightened to prevent drift. First determine
whether you have a 200 or 300 series equipment management system and then
follow the instructions below.

Note: All brake adjustments (drift) are clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen.
- Remove the 4x4 faceplate on the articulating
arm, at the top of the service module tube, to access the adjustment
screw which is a small 3mm allen screw.
- Use the 3mm allen key to adjust
- Replace faceplate

Q:
Can I change the amount of rotation my equipment management system will
allow?
A: Yes, this is called adjusting the "stop" and can be done by following the instructions below.
(Changing Stop Settings, Service Column and Mid Arm Stop (Fig. 11, 12, 13)
- Remove the large slotted head screw (Fig. 11, 12, 13) and rotate the bearing until the stop screw is visible through the hole (Fig. 14).Note: 200 & 300 Series - the stop screw holds a rubber bumper in place.
- Remove the stop screw using a 6mm allen key. Note: 200 & 300 Series - before rotating the bearing insert the allen key, or similar, in the stop hole to prevent the rubber stop from rotating with the bearing.
- Turn the bearing to the desired stop location and re-install the stop screw.
